Field Superintendent

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Field Superintendent to lead the on-site execution of high-end landscape construction projects. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day field operations, coordinating crews and subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in landscape construction with a deep understanding of swimming pool construction and/or horticulture, and thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion

  • Manage and coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and vendors

  • Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications

  • Ensure quality control across all aspects of construction, including grading, drainage, hardscape, planting, and pool installation

  • Maintain project schedules and proactively address delays or issues

  • Enforce safety standards and maintain a clean, organized job site

  • Communicate regularly with project managers, designers, and clients

  • Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with local codes and regulations

  • Track materials, equipment, and labor to support project budgets

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in landscape construction or related field

  • Strong working knowledge of pool construction (structural, plumbing, equipment, finishes) and/or horticulture (planting, irrigation, soil preparation, plant health)

  • Proven experience managing crews and subcontractors in the field

  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with high-end residential or custom landscape projects

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

  • OSHA certification or other safety training
